Adam Smith
The Scottish economist, Adam Smith, admired Laissez and the form of economy. He published a piece that argued that the free market should be allowed, where anyone can trade or sell to anyone and do whatever they want with their businesses. He tied together the manufacturing trade of supply and demand. Wherever there was a demand for goods or services, suppliers would always seek to meet those demands and make a profit. Smith felt like the government had a duty to protect society, administer justice, and provide public works. Adam Smith's ideas shaped the economy for about 200 more years.
